Terms of service

Plain-language terms for mining on DogeCaves.live. Read them together with the pool policy and the privacy policy.

01

Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and DogeCaves.live, an independently operated Dogecoin mining pool run by John Eirik Furubotn. By connecting a miner, using the dashboard, or accepting the pool policy, you agree to them.

If you do not agree, do not connect a miner and do not use the site.

02

The service

We provide a Scrypt Stratum mining pool for Dogecoin, a public statistics dashboard and automatic on-chain payouts. The service is provided as-is, without any warranty of uptime, earnings, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, including fees, thresholds and features, at any time. Material changes are announced on the site.

03

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to mine cryptocurrency where you live. Complying with local law, including tax and electricity rules, is entirely your responsibility.

04

Your account is your wallet

There is no registration. The Dogecoin address you use as your miner username is your identity on the pool and the destination of your payouts.

You are solely responsible for entering a correct address that you control. Rewards sent to a mistyped, exchange-restricted or lost address cannot be recovered or reissued.

05

Fees and rewards

The pool charges a 0.9% fee on block rewards. Rewards use a PPLNS (pay per last N shares) model based on accepted shares and their difficulty; the pool fee and network transaction fees are deducted before payout.

Dashboard figures, including estimated earnings, are estimates only. Actual earnings depend on block luck, network difficulty, pool hashrate and your own uptime.

06

Payouts

Balances are paid automatically to your address once they exceed the published threshold and the pool wallet holds sufficient confirmed funds. Payouts are batched and may be delayed by node sync, confirmations or maintenance.

We make payouts in good faith and retry failed sends. We cannot guarantee a specific payout amount or schedule. Very small residual balances may remain unpaid until they reach the threshold.

07

Acceptable use

Do not attack, overload, reverse-engineer or attempt to defraud the pool, including submitting invalid or duplicated shares, exploiting bugs, or interfering with other miners.

Do not use the pool with hardware or electricity you are not authorised to use, or for any unlawful purpose. We may throttle, ban or withhold rewards from anyone who breaches this section.

08

Risk disclosure

Cryptocurrency mining is risky. Hardware can fail, difficulty can rise, DOGE can lose value, and electricity may cost more than you earn. Nothing on this site is financial advice or a promise of profit.

The pool is a young project and errors, downtime, stat glitches and bugs can occur.

09

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost rewards, hardware damage, electricity costs, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the pool.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total pool fees we collected from your mining in the 30 days before the event.

10

No custody service

We are not a bank, exchange, wallet provider or custodian. Unpaid balances are an accounting record of work done, not a deposit, and we hold no funds on your behalf beyond the time between earning and the next payout run.

11

Termination

You may stop mining at any time; disconnect your miner and any balance above the threshold is paid on the next run. We may suspend or end access for anyone breaching these terms, and we may close the pool with reasonable notice, paying out remaining balances where technically possible.

12

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.

13

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version on this page, dated above, is the one that applies, and continued mining means you accept it.
