Privacy policy
DogeCaves.live is built to need as little information about you as possible. There are no accounts, and the only identifier we rely on is the Dogecoin address you choose to mine with.
Who we are
DogeCaves.live ('the pool', 'we') is an independently operated Dogecoin mining pool run by John Eirik Furubotn. This policy explains what information the website and the mining service handle.
For any privacy question, email nomoreplayingaroundme@gmail.com.
We do not run user accounts
There is no sign-up, no password and no profile. You are identified only by the Dogecoin address you choose to mine with. We never ask for your name, address, phone number or identity documents.
The blog area has an operator login used solely by the pool operator; it is not open to miners.
Mining data we store
When your miner connects, our Stratum server records the Dogecoin payout address you supply, your worker names, hashrate, share counts (accepted, stale, rejected), share difficulty, connection timestamps and the payouts sent to that address.
This data is necessary to calculate rewards and to make the public dashboard work. Because the dashboard is public, anyone who knows a Dogecoin address can look up the mining statistics for that address. Do not use an address you want to keep private.
Technical data
Our servers and hosting provider keep standard technical logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent and error details — for security, abuse prevention and debugging. Miner connections also expose the IP address of the connecting rig to the Stratum server.
Website visits are counted with simple, aggregate page-view analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or fingerprinting, and we do not build personal profiles.
Browser storage
The site stores a small flag in your browser's local storage to remember that you accepted the pool policy, so you are not asked again on every visit. It contains no personal information and is never sent to advertisers.
Blockchain data is public and permanent
Payouts are Dogecoin transactions. Once broadcast, they are recorded on the public Dogecoin blockchain permanently and cannot be edited or deleted by us or by you.
Why we process this data
To operate the mining pool and calculate and send rewards; to display public pool and worker statistics; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and to fix problems. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of the service you request and our legitimate interest in running it securely.
Who we share with
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers required to run the site and pool — our web hosting and database provider, and our server/VPS provider — and may be disclosed if we are legally required to do so.
Retention
Mining statistics and payout records are kept while the pool operates, so that balances and payment history stay verifiable. Technical logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than 90 days, unless needed for a security investigation.
Your rights
You can ask what data is stored against a Dogecoin address, ask for correction, or ask for the removal of the mining statistics linked to an address you control. Email us and, where an ownership check is needed, we may ask you to sign a message with that address.
On-chain transactions cannot be deleted, and we may keep the minimum records needed for accounting or dispute resolution.
Children
The pool is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the pool changes. The version published on this page, with the date shown above, is the one that applies.
